27 days isn't long for a Vodafone port. I'm up to 7 weeks.

  • I have been fobbed off by vodafone for the past 4 days!

my husbands iphone totally died on thursday, so took a trip to the vodafone shop in worcester. They were as much use as a chocolate teapot and suggested i went to the apple shop (an hour away in Solihull), so Saturday morning I had to get up really early to get there before the shop opened. They were very helpful but also agreed the the phone was not repairable and that I would need to call Vodafone and get a replacement. It was on month out of warrenty but the fault was nothing to do with us it was a faulty unit. The man in the Apple shop was also very helpful telling me about the Sale of Goods Act on electronics :-)

On returning I then spent the rest of my Saturday on the phone to Voda (being cut off 4 times was not amusing). I finally get through to someone who put me through to the returns department who were arranging a like for like swap for me. Get put on hold as he was sorting this out and then goes and presses the wrong hold button and throws me back into the main queing system aaaaahhhhhh

I then get through to another lady who starts banging on about the warrenty and they cant do anything, when 1 hour earlier (thats how long I was on hold for) it was getting sorted. I inssisted in speaking to her manager and she said they she would not put me through to the department I had spoke to previously as they wouldn't take my call and her manager was not available but someone would call me in 24/48 hour!!!!!!

I should state that my Husband is disabled and I am his carer and that this is our only form of communication with each other if I have to go out.

So i have called again 3 times today (which is more that 48 hours) to be told that the case has been escalated and that someone will call me in the next 5 days!!!!!!! because the managers dont normally speak to anyone!! they are apparently listening to the call recordings but seeing as it seems like there is absolutly no customer service skill I very much doubt i will get a call back!

So i have to spend another day tomorrow wasting money calling vodafone off my o2 phone trying to get to speak to the right people and an apology for the waste of time and money on something which they legally have to sort out for me!!!!

Roll on next October as I will be more than happy to give Vodafone the big heave ho and go elsewhere!!!

You need to email Lee at eforum.web@help.vodafone.co.uk with the subject WRT135 - MSE. Provide a link to this post, and then come back here to update with the reference number you receive.

Give up phoning, because you'll just get frustrated. Lee will sort things, although it can take a while because he gets a lot of complaints.
