The manager then , cannot name names, but since its ( st patricks day) big clue - was a Lemon. He ran the company from behind his desk and ran up major debts , covering his mess with Money. Shocking. Embarrassment to any profession.
Asprea dont know squat about customer service , we had meetings about meetings. We raised works orders for cancelled claims, We validated completed work and cancelled ongoing orders.
RIP asprea you embarrassment to the insurance world.
They are seemingly still working elsewhere as NU have just passed my claim to them. I am not sure what to do having read this thread ....
However, from the website it seems that Aviva have taken them in-house :-
"For the last three years, Asprea has been in partnership with Aviva. In that time we’ve helped some 400,000 customers who’ve taken out household insurance with Aviva get their home back to normal after an incident.
On the 1st of April, our partnership will get even closer, when Asprea will join the Aviva family. This will give us the chance to create a new in-house team and put in place a number of exciting innovations.
Join us, and you’ll get the best of both worlds. You’ll be working for Asprea in a brand new, innovative, independent team where you’ll have plenty of opportunity to get noticed and progress. At the same time, you’ll have the backing of Aviva – a highly-successful global brand and the UK’s leading property insurer. Of course, this means there’ll be no shortage of customers to impress with your efficiency and great project management skills. "0 -
FF99 Asprea have been bought out by Aviva, anyone with any experience of Aviva will know this will not mean Asprea will improve as the way Aviva work is they are more likely to get worse.
You do not have to use Asprea for the work and I would strongly recommend you don't use Asprea. Get a quotation from a local builder who you know and trust or come recommended from a friend.

Thanks ! I have already got my trusted builder onto the job. Funnily enough Aviva think that the insurance cover only extends to Asprea identifying the source of the leak and dealing with any consequential damage, but not actually fixing the leak. Just like bankers: they never have an umbrella for you when it is actually raining !0 -

They asked for the same information on 3 separate occasions, both by letter and phone. They forgot the excess I paid. They then subcontract out the work to a company in Livingstone who then in turn give the job to a builder. Thankfully the builder was good. However its pathetic to have to deal with four different companies about a single claim.0
