I was very naive at the time Karl, redface.gif and because we were living together I felt obliged.
Barclays even had the audacity to ring my brother at work!!!!angry-smiley-030.gif

Sorry you had the same thing Sagaris, my brother hung up on the manager because he could hear him eating his lunch during the callspeechless-smiley-040.gif

Anyway thats all behind me and I am much wiser thanks to MSE:money:

Thanks again for all your input.

I think you should get copies of all three of your credit reports to see whats there.
Your troubles with barclays will hopefully have dropped off now.

Are you on the electoral roll?
Having lots of addresses isn't good news because they value stability but the actual addresses aren't relevant to your credit score.

Do they show any asssociated people who might be adversely affecting your score?.

Basically there is a difference between a credit report with bad things (defaults, poor payment history) which will often only be improved once they have dropped off your file (6years for defaults)
and simply a report without much on... if this is the case then simply using and paying a CC or two off on time regularly will improve your crdit score quite rapidly.

    Hi again CLAPTON,
I have lived here for 6 years, am on electoral roll and have no defaults.sport-smiley-001.gif

The addresses are my previous residences where the debt was accrued.redface.gif The report does not show any associated people. I am just assuming although the debt is paid it is still showing on the previous addressesangry-smiley-030.gif

I am well on my way to repairing my credit and will be ever so careful never to get in that situation again.
I have become obssessed and check bank account every morningspeechless-smiley-040.gif

    Cheers Suzanne
