I've got a 3D samsung tv and active 3D glasses and a PS3 for playing 3D DVDs. I haven't tried this yet as I have no 3D DVDs. I am thinking of subscribing to Lovefilm by post as I do not want to be buying DVDs.
I would rather stream from netflix or Amazon or something similar? Is this possible?
I do not want to subscribe to Sky as that can get expensive.

There is no such thing as a 3D DVD, only Blu-ray supports 3D.0

Commercial 3D movies are all on BluRay
I dont see any reason why a DVD couldnt support 3D using the side by side method though clearly the resolution is going to be fairly low.
Again, in theory its possible for streaming to be done in 3D, looking on forums people in the US report that there is some content available but checking Amazon Instant here in the UK they not appear to offer any 3D content.0
