What If I've Given Driver's Name to Armtrac?

Hi,
My girlfriend and I recently went on a holiday with another couple and got a fine from Armtrac for staying in our residences carpark. We later got told we should have put a notice up saying we were staying there.
In my one correspondence I've given them my friends name and address of the car we were driving as they advised to only come here and see that isn't what we're supposed to do.
I've seen the flowchart and read the sticky - but is there any way we can get out of this after giving them his name and address?
Thanks

If he receives a ticket/charge from Armtrac, then point him at this forum (at this thread in fact) and we can guide him through the process for getting the ticket cancelled.

Thanks Manx Red,
So should I send the company the template note in the sticky forums?
Thanks,

Have you already written to them naming the driver?Je Suis Cecil.0

Yes, he hasn't received anything though. I'm Australian so wasn't aware of these companies, assumed they were enforceable by a legitimate company, and so gave them his name and address in a previous correspondence.0

Is it an Australian address you've given them?Je Suis Cecil.0

No, he's British and soe them his British address.0

Oh, OK, wait and see if he gets anything from Armtrac, and then point him at this thread.Je Suis Cecil.0

To really be of help, we need a bit more info on the detail of this.
Was this a hotel or flats or what? Were there any signs about permits or how were you supposed to know about displaying your notice.
Clearly, if it is possible for you to get the landowner to cancel the ticket, that would be easiest, so give us something more to work on !!!0 -
Hi Guys Dad,
A group of 4 of us booked an Easter break at Newquay at 7 Waters Edge, The Esplanade TR7 1PS from 3rd - 6th August.
We drove from London on the Friday morning and arrived in the evening at our apartment block where there was a car park behind it. We parked our car and went up to the apartment where the only notice we received from the owner and property manager was how to pick the keys up. There was no prior notice given about parking permits.
The next morning we went outside and discovered that we had received a parking fine on the windscreen of our car. We rang the property manager who spoke to the owner and then told us that there is a welcome folder in the apartment and within that there is a parking permit we should put on.
We spoke to the property manager (Blue Chip Holidays) about cancelling the fine as we are residents of the apartment but after speaking to the owner they were told that we just had to pay it.
We want to appeal the parking charge notice as we were never informed by the owners that we had to display a parking permit until we actually received a fine, and once we were told about the parking permit we displayed the notice.
NOW: I have been in correspondence with Armtrac who i thought was a legitimate company and so when they requested details such as name and address of driver I gave them my friends name and address as we used his car.
When my appeal got rejected today, I then thought this is ridiculous so started researching how to appeal their decision and stumbled upon this forum with all the knowledge on how to stop their behaviour.
Unfortunately, I have given the name and address of the owner of the vehicle, and am hoping there is still a way for us to get out of this.
If you need more info please let me know.0
