Splitting the bill with extravagant friends

I'd never spend £200 on a night out. One problem I get is buying a round of drinks in one bar at £4.50 a pint, then someone else buying the next round in the next bar at only £2.50 a pint. Why I prefer to pay own way.
I also have a friend who earns the same as me but he lives at 'home' still, with minimal outgoings and only paying a token board to his parents which also includes lifts to work.
He'll not even think twice drawing £150 out the cash machine on a night out where as I have palpitations at getting £50 out and hope to go home with change.
