HMRC Repayment Pending

This is the 13 th year I have submitted tax return and never had bank repayment pending for this long. I rang yesterday and asked the same question why is it showing the day before and was just told system updates at midnight ? Rang back this morning and it's automated message saying if you were ringing about a repayment after 5/4/2015 the systems were currently being updated and payments would be processed. Clearly sick of ppl ringing as it looks like everything is jammed and they can't cope with the backlog (here's hoping) not sure about this security check thing if it is bank details they check as I have had and used the same bank account for many years now even with the old cheque repayment system. Just a waiting game I think :mad:

We'll I clicked on the ask a question tab and asked how long till my repayment will be made and the response I got was I am being security checked please wait 3 weeks from today to get payment or to get back in touch well I'm not a happy person but nothing I can do...good luck with yours

Seems there's a lot of people still waiting has anyone received a letter from them since doing Ur claims ?

I did the same but response to mine was I should receive it within 3 weeks unless I am subject to security checks and if so would be longer. Didn't tell me I was being security checked though

Basically bank repayment pending and repayment pending mean the same thing!!

When you log in if you click on:
VIEW ACCOUNT then click REPAYMENTS it will show the amount and say 'bank repayment pending'.

Where as if you click on:
VIEW ACCOUNT then click PAYMENTS/CREDITS RECEIVED it will say 'Overpayment from tax return for year ending 05 APRIL 2015. Click on that and then it will show it only says REPAYMENT PENDING.

So where you guys are thinking that its changing from payment pending to BANK repayment pending, you are wrong, you are clicking on 2 completely different links that say both. Nothing changes appart from when it then goes to ISSUED, which sadly mine still has not done so, and i keep checking 4 times a day!

Mine got submitted on 8th APRIL, just phoned them and they said it's under 'check draft' what ever that means but she says it will be within a few days if it's under that status which im happy about she said it shouldn't take much longer :-)

They saying repayments are being processed the system is updating apparently didn't say how long but I emailed them and they said within 3 wks after I was told yesterday on the phone that it would be the end of this week ?

They probably say within 3 weeks via email to cover their asses! More likely to get a straight answer from a person I guess.. My friends came into his bank yesterday and changed to issued tuesday
