I submitted my returns myself last year and then again this year. Both weren't for large amounts are were both paid around 6 working days after I submitted them.

Now I have an accountant that looked at my books for 13/14 and 14/15 and she then resubmitted both years returns on the 30th of April.

Both are now down as repayment pending since the 30th April. There is also interest been added as a repayment which is to the 6th of May 15! Surely I would have thought that would mean the repayment would be issued on the 6th May since HMRC are paying me interest until then for the money they owe me but obviously not since there's no repayment been issued yet.

A friend of mines also done the same as myself last year, and it was repayment pending for SIX MONTHS before being issued!!! Every time he called they would pass him on to a different department and he went from pillar to post for months. Hope the same doesn't happen to me..........

Yes mate usually, I just received an email from them saying an electronic bank repayment will be made shortly, ill let you know when mine clears tho too, keep us updated even when it clears mate, it will help everyone else out too.

Will I had interest paid up to the 7th of May mate and I got it today(pending on the clearing into my bank part, has been issued with today's date tho) so if it hasn't got issued it will change soon, I'm still waiting on another repayment tho made from the 6th April this year's tax

Have they said what's happening with the older pending payment of yours? Strong that both of us have had our amendments paid but the original tax returns haven't been paid yet

Yeah mine issued one day and was paid day after last year! Just seems strange that my amendment done on 1st may has been issued with yesterday's date but the payment due from 8th April still hasn't been processed

it depends who you bank with - natwest for example can go in at midnight where as slower banks such as co-op can take up to three days. They say to give it up to five days after it's been issued online but it's normally the next working day x
