Hello. Unlurking today to ask a quick question. My washing machine stinks. I've tried cleaning the seals be doing a super hot wash with vinegar but it still has a whiff about it. What should I be doing?!

    Morning all :j

Sorry to hear about those who have been ill, broken bones etc. I hope you are all on the mend ASAP. Here's a Smilie for you all :)

So I'm up bright and early in order to tackle some of this list before I go to work today. Thank goodness it's the kitchen as you can't see mine, it's hidden under a dish mountain :rotfl: They're all clean just need putting away.

So off I go. I'm taking my :coffee: with me. I'll report back at 8am and let you know how I've got on :)

The other flyladies will have some great ideas, but the first thing that came to mind for me is are you leaving the door ajar when its not in use. I find if the door is shut then smells from the pipes can build up.

Thanks for the list Natty. I'm in again although only around for 3 days this week. Will make a start on the list in a mo.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning everyone - thanks for the lists Natty and Dusty. Welcome to newbies.
I am in but off list for a while as have lots of gardening to do if it stays fine and some paperwork and organising things that need to take precedence.

    Have a good day everyone.x

    Morning All

Well I need to dust and sweep in the LR before they come and fit the carpet. Once they've been all the furniture needs moving back in and sorting out. My car's supposed to be going in the garage about 2 to have the window fixed so that needs dropping off and picking up and I have a load of CS bags in my car to be dropped off. I was also thinking that once there's room in the kitchen, I'll paint the skirting board in there seeing as I painted the door frame yesterday.

Anyway we'll see how the day pans out.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    Morning all

Slept in this morning until 7.20 - the windows were shut because it was so cold last night, so the birdsong didn't wake me at 5.15 ;) Feeling better today as a result. I was so tired last night that I started getting ready for bed at 9.20, though I didn't actually get to sleep until after 10.00 because I remembered that I had given the bedlinen an extra spin after I'd washed it, so had to go down and put it in the TD so that it didn't crease!

Thank you Dusty for last week's lists and Natty for starting the new thread. I will be in as far as I can this week, but - like Narc0 - I have a full diary again, just no birthday to give me an excuse for not flying :rotfl: I will keep on top of most things, though I'm still trying to give priority to the garden, or it will quickly become a forest of ash seedlings everywhere. The tree on our boundary is lovely, and I know they're in danger of ash die-back, but sometimes I hate it! Better than a leylandii, though - at least stuff grows under it, and we've had a (small) carpet of snowdrops followed by daffs, with bluebells to come, which we can see through the paling fence. And I've just seen a pair of goldfinches and a greater spotted woodpecker working its way up the branches :)

Skinty, pigpen, babes21 and pigpen: don't even try to finish the list today but take a break and rest when you can. I hope it's a nursery day for Dot!
embb, boddy and juliejim, you've all been very busy and are taking springcleaning to a whole new level :T :T :T

See you later... (((hugs))), spoons and sticks all round x

Just had a very productive hour and a half in the kitchen.

Dishwasher emptied and dishes by sink put away.
Cupboards, splashbacks and drawer fronts cleaned.
    Work tops scrubbed
    Floor swept and cleaned
Me, OH and animals all fed and watered.
Lunchboxes finished. Started them last night
Table set for tonight and food out the freezer ready to go for tea.

I suppose I better get out the door before I'm late to work. Might manage a bit more tonight but we have visitor coming and so probably wont manage much more apart from the usual dailies.

All have a good day :)

Have you tried cleaning the filter? I'd do the wash through with some soda crystals in the drum as well and yes leave the door open to allow it to fully dry.

Bit of a slow start here this morning but off for a shower now and then I'll get the kitchen done before sorting out with DS3 which shops we need to hit first.
