Delight Mobile

Does anyone have any experience using Delight Mobile in the UK? Where can I buy a topup voucher on the high street?

I'm not so much bothered about customer service as I am about internet coverage and being able to top up. The Delight website is pretty vague about where you can get a voucher from.

I don't need 4G coverage, but I do need 2G coverage (I go to some out-of-the-way places that Three doesn't reach). I do like the very low PAYG rates, but don't want a bundle that will expire after 30 days. Delight seems perfect for what I want, but not if I can't top it up.

I have just started using Delight Mobile, part of the Vectone group and running on EE, for similar reasons - cheap simple rates for occasional data use, including 2G in remote areas. Seems fine so far...

On their website there's an array of shop logos where multi-functional(?) top-up vouchers can be purchased. The one time I tried so far, at Sainsbury's, staff could see Delight on their system but couldn't actually sell it for some reason.

I topped up online £5 with a card, very easy - are you not able to do that?

Delight mobile piggybacks on EE and their 123 is good and cheap.

  • Thanks for the feedback. It looks like Paypoint will sell the vouchers, which makes life much easier. I'm somewhat leery of giving out credit card details.

The main problem with them seems to be the customer service aspect, but hopefully I won't need to talk to them (won't be porting my number or suchlike). I'm going to give them a try then report back.
  • I know this is an old thread but people still get it show up when searching so I'll give my experience of Delight Mobile.

I use Three network for my main phone and up to finding delight on net was having to pay about £5 a month for data with Talkmobile payg for my spare phone. Three did a 321 but no point having that if this phone is to be used when contract phone is out of coverage. (Same network) . Delight is same tariff and offers a 2g backup network. Only put 10 pound on in about 6months and still use it on and off for email etc when in sticks and no three coverage.

Not had any problems porting number , but phone often shows the roaming symbol. Does not seem to alter price of calls though. Occasionally data drops off for no reason. Top up quickly with card and you don't have to store your card details if you don't won't. ( or at least that was the case 6 months ago)

No 4g coverage but for price who cares.

How did you obtain the SIM? If you bought it in a shop it may be old stock and the credit is only for overseas calls.

You do realise that 3 still roams on 2G EE when 'out in the sticks'

My 3 sim card used to display 3 all the time - My iD sim says iD or EE depending on using 3(iD) or EE 2G.

    Who are you asking?

The thread and the last posts are about Delight, not Three/iD.

A number of posts mention using Delight (for the 123 tariff) due to needing 2G coverage (in rural locations)
