I've found that my hourglass figure is best in a shift dress, wiggle-type, but do tend to buy the size up from normal (unless its M&S, Hobbs or Alexon which are bob on).

I also love Primarni l/s tees, and their v-necks. I always buy a size up for comfort ;)

I struggle with jeans - a high waist to hide my 50 y.o.tum, good quality denim in the right wash, no gaping, a good fit on the hips & thighs, the right fit (skinny, bootcut etc). I have various random pairs and thought I'd found the perfect ones - until Levi changed their range

I had the stretchy ones but found it isn't for me as I keep pulling the, down. They have non stretchy ones which is similar fabric to the Harry Potter tshirt I got. It's werid becaus the Harry Potter t shirt in a grey and white colour fabric made an 18 fit me and I'm normally bigger. I have couple tops in that fabric.

One thing I'm annoyed about is the jeggings. I got some couple years ago and they fitted well untill they changed deisgn. Anyways got some few month ago as a pair fitted well. Got another pair same size and style and design only to find it was smaller than my other pair. I hate shopping for bottoms as I can never find any to fit well. Hence I wait till breaking point. I'm more a top person I have loads but had a good sort out as my new jobs means il only wear them on weekend so good time to sort out.

If you're talking about Primarni for sizing, they are the most irregular store there is (perhaps unsurprisingly.) The actual sizes of their clothes often varies even when labelled the same. And they are deff not std (whatever that is) sizes.

I live in t-shirts but it's so hard to find a decent quality plain cotton t-shirt for a good price.

I have a drawer full of old Primark t-shirts but they don't seem to sell plain, non-stretchy ones now. I'm skinny but I am middle-aged so I do have flabby bits which I don't want highlighted by a thin, very stretchy t-shirt! I can't buy a size up because the shoulders and neckline are too big and they just don't sit right.

Peacocks t-shirts are even more horrible, they always go wonky at the bottom after one wash.

I don't want cap sleeves on a t-shirt either, I'm quite toned but I still have baggy skin. And being short, those "bracelet" (3/4) sleeves are a no-no for me too. As I've got short arms, they are always too long to sit at my forearm, but too short to cover my wrist. And they're no good if you want to wear a jumper or cardigan over the top, you get that horrible feeling of the sleeves being halfway up your arm! :rotfl:

Thanks to the poster who suggested Uniqlo for t-shirts, I've just had a peek at their site and it looks quite promising!

  • I completely agree with whoever mentioned Sainsburys further up.
There range at the moment is lovely. I bought a black button through shirt dress a few weeks ago on 25% off. Its nice and simple, work appropriate as well as not being to posh to just wear around the house. Have had lots of compliments which is nice :) They usually have V neck t shirts as well.

Uniqlo is also great, I need 18/20 - trousers are no good, but the T-shirts are fine. If you see something you like go for it, they have quite quick stock turnover, and its disappointing when you miss it.
I have my eye on a couple of polo neck t-shirts with lovely patterns at the moment, and stuff from a couple of years ago is still good.

I fall into the 'not v-neck' club. v-necks for me are not good if I lean forward without a vest top underneath as I am lacking in 't-shirt filling' IYKWIM. :o
