Tracking an item from abroad help please

Hello

I bought something from China via ebay and they supplied me with a tracking number. Its not arrived  The seller says I should track the parcel but does not say how and Royal mail does not recoginise the tracking number. Does anyone have any idea please? I kind of thought it would be the sellers responsibility to track the item and tell me where it is but they don't want to:confused:

Thanks

When was it posted? If in the last 2-3 weeks or so then it is probably still on it's way. Keep an eye on their feedback be patient and ask them where/how you track it. I imagine this will run into translation problems.

Not sure about the parcel from China, but any parcels I've recevied from USA I've tracked on the Parcel Force website using the tracking number given.

4 weeks ago now and they seem to spend more of the messages asking me how I am than actually helping or answering the questions  I've checked the feedback and its still ok and other people who have won stuff on the same day or since have got their goods. I've asked them three times now to track it for me and I'm getting no where

"we also feel puzzeled about how to track packages at your side"

was their last reply to me

    Thanks :j

Thanks for that - I've tried that now and they don't recognise the number either

i have a tracking number for a package from the US that i'm waiting for and it shows up on the US postal service website - i wouldn't have expected the number to work on a website for a different country's system?

this page comes up on a google search for 'chinese postal service', or could they have used DHL or another service?

No it isn't your responsibility to look for this parcel. personally I would keep a very good eye on the paypal chargeback period, which is 45 days..as soon as you start getting anywhere near that put in a claim. You can always cancel it when the goods arrive, but if you go past the 45 days you will lose the chance.

I might even consider opening a dispute now, and then consider escalating to a full claim in a few days.

I've not had a reply to my last email I sent yesterday to them so I think I'll do like you say and start a dispute. That will be a first for me so wish me luck! :D

Not sure, but all items I have recevied which are sent via USPS (United States Postal Service) from USA are tracked on Parcel Force website and delivered by them.
