Using Santander 123 Debit card Post Office

Customer service did ring me back but have been unable to contact the local Post office, she said she will try again on Monday. Not sure what the sort code etc is on hubbys card. I do know its a new card he got about 3 months ago.

Basic account holders with santander can with their cash cards. If you have a visa debit card then im afraid not. Quite silly to be honest as all post office finincial conduct is all done through santanders clearing system and the cash machines in my area all charge and its at least a half an hours walk to the nearest free cash machine.

Is this a new thing? as we have been able to use them in the past.

Had a call from Post Office Cust Service and it seems our branch is now a Local Branch and all it does is postal stuff, sells euros and lottery tickets. There is no personal banking! So this is why they wouldn`t accept my husbands debit card nothing to do with Alliance and Leicester!! me thinks the staff might need a bit of training if thats what they are telling customers.

What card have you got - 4547 or 4567 and what is the last 2 of the sort code - 2x or 3x ?

It starts 4547 and sort code is 09-01-28 and can also put money into my accouny via the post office all with my card 😁:beer:

It's true - my card has the same digits, I used it at the local post office ten minutes ago to deposit cash to my 123 account, it is already in. I had no idea!
