No spend day for me today, mainly because I've had a big falling out with my son so I'm too grumpy to go out and do/buy anything, for me OR him, which is unusual as he's my spendy downfall.
I cooked a late brunch as we were waiting for middle stepson to come over and now he and DS have gone to a gig and I have chilli bubbling away on the hob.
Shopping for a car with my mum was a nightmare as her only consideration is being embarrassed that folk will know she got rid of it because she kept crashing it and she can't buy one that's older than the one she has because hers is the youngest in the road. She drove us both mental pooh poohing every suggestion and then started trying to tell me she's a better driver than me as she passed her driving test first time and I didn't. I did start to point out that she passed 40 years ago, has driven infrequently since and has had 3 accidents in the last 6 months since she's taken it up again to which her reply is 'yes, but they're all my fault' as if that somehow excuses it, that she knows where she went wrong???! I have committed myself to going out looking again on Wednesday but I'm going to cancel, I'm not wasting a day of my holiday for nothing.
She did however take us out to dinner afterwards where she did what she always does which is try to engage the people on the next table in conversation even though she knows it drives me mad. She usually does this by commenting loudly about or waving to their babies until they acknowledge her. In actuality she hates children and only invites us round when we don't have any of our kids with us but she's an attention seeker.

Today I made a beautiful brisket lunch all from stores, although I had picked up my online shop this morning. Have done meal plan, and shouldn't really need to go shopping for the next two weeks as after I done my inventory (inspired by all the posts!), we have WAY too much! 7 tins of baked beans....
Cashed out some cashback.
Sorted the kitchen out.
Washed bedding and towels.

FVD -sorry you fell out with your son. And the Mum situation also sounds stressful. It's difficult when other people don't see people's real flaws and assume they are lovely." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hannah 1 yes the job is going great. It's great being back working and earning some pennies. They've been really felixable to fit in my childcare routine and I've in return have worked as many Saturday's as possible (6 in a row now) and the dreaded Sunday morning! Building up on my regular tips as well which is a bonus xxDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0

Another late night posting for me today
Not getting many extra jobs done ie ebay and stuff but I'm sure I'll do lots when the mood comes over me. Really happy with life at the moment and making plans etc for the future. Lots to look forward to. Feel like I'm finally living my life again instead of just plodding through. Next mission is to learn how to drive, it will greatly increase the quality of life with my girlies. There's lots of places and things we could do for free around here but no transportation, for example even going to local soft play costs £35 to get there and back and entry fees, riddioclous. Started practicing theory tests and will send off for provisional later this week.

I did think about this but just putting £1 and £5 in their. I think I'm going to use the roadkill to save up for housey stuff. Would like some rugs and bathroom still needs Lino. Its a little way to gradually build up on the house. I just can't deceide what to get first xxDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0
