Family Summer Holiday ... am I expecting too much ?

Looking at booking a summer holiday for my family - myself, hubby and 3 children aged 18, 16 and 8. Would ideally like 10 days late July, either Canaries or Balaerics, and happy with self catering, but after an apartment big enough for us all, 2 bedrooms preferably and must be on a ground floor due to youngest having ADHD. Have been looking for few weeks now and struggelling to find anything to suit us with right number of rooms and costs are coming in at £3500 plus, and the majority are 4-5K plus. Am I expecting too much ... wanted to spend £2500 really - where should I look to book other than the usual tour operators ? Any suggestions welcome ! Thanks for your time.

We booked our summer holiday recently, 2 weeks in a 2 bed apartment in Corfu for £1,800. I booked flights with Easyjet and the apaprtment direct with the owner.
Last year we went to Turkey for 2 weeks end of July and spent £2,000 on flights and a villa.
£3,500 is far too much.
Have a look at Skyscanner for flights and Travel Republic, Owners Direct or Holiday Lettings for accomodation. You should be able to find something for £2,500 total that way.0 -
