Holiday with very particular requirements for fussy family...help please

I've been charged with finding a week's holiday anywhere on the Med (Spain, Portugal etc) for my family but, as we have very specific requirements, I'm finding it very difficult. Any help or advice would be gratefully received!
We're looking for a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa/apartment with at least one bedroom and bathroom downstairs for my mother who has limited mobility and also the villa cannot have steps up to the front door.
We'd like to fly with a scheduled airline (eg BA) and would prefer the airport to be no more than an hour's drive away from the villa.
We will be renting a car but it would be great if there are some shops, restaurants, etc not too far away.
And finally....if we're not fussed about being very close to a beach but sea views would be fantastic.
Our budget is £1000 per person (there are four adults), including flights and car hire and we were looking at the end of June but are flexible with the dates.
Please can anyone offer any advice and point me in the right direction?
Thank you!

Where can you fly from?
E.g we have similar requirements and flying manchester to Lisbon with tap. Staying in a property www found via tripadvisor- where they have these sorry of filtes0 -
We would fly from Heathrow or Gatwick.
I've been looking on Tripadvisor and found two villas which would have suited us but neither of the owners have replied to my enquiry!0 -
Use skyscanner.net for flights
I'd try Iberia who code share with ba and try Barcelona airport
We like Cambrils just next to salou as buggy friendly, great beaches and food.
On a private Vila rental look for those with reviews and landline phone numbers also tripadvisor s payment protection is good0 -
I suggest that you arrange things yourself rather than booking a package... for the accommodation, look at the very many properties on Interhome. They provide detailed information so your chances of getting what you need are good. Oh: they are based in Switzerland so you might consider that as a holiday destination...0

I think in this case you are better to look at someone like James Villas or Villa Plus to start with. They usually have search facilities that allow you to select options e.g no car needed, disabled friendly (I know you haven't asked for this specifically but it's probably the easiest way of getting a property with no steps or at least one with a lift if there is) as well as specify number of bedrooms etc.
You can usually book the full package including car hire and flights, or just the property and then you can book flights and car hire separately.
Or take a look at holiday-rentals, owners direct or holiday lettings as they also have a similar search facility but as it's all rented direct from the owner it is reliant on them providing the correct search info and can sometimes be harder to find what you want.Lea

This is exactly the sort of thing a DIY holiday allows you to do, that almost certainly no package company will.
Book each element separately, don't hesitate to ask if you need any pointers0 -
Vilamoura in Portugal would be a great resort, there are lots of Villas around and you can fly into Faro with BA (and plenty of other airlines) the resort is an easy 25 minute drive from the airport0
