Cakes are better after being in the freezer? No they jolly well aren't!0

I am not sure if the person who wrote "‘Store bread in the freezer as it goes off quicker in the fridge" has fully grasped the purpose of either. :rotfl:0

I think for most of us on here it probably will only be crisps. I joke with my friends (as I try to educate them!) that the only thing I don't freeze is lettuce!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

My freezing tip is that almost any sauce or cream that you think cant be frozen because it separates (such as taramasolata) is fine after a quick blast with a stick blender, and that you don't need to bother with blanching for most vegetables. They are fine if you just chuck them in.0

I agree. I'm a chucker inner as well! I have also frozen milk in its plastic container with no problem as it stretches with it. I just have to prop it up in a plastic bowl to defrost as it does go wonky.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Crisps aren't in the cupboard long enough to bother freezing.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I saw this on the mail website earlier and it's been boggling my brain ever since.
I don't understand why anyone would ever want or need to freeze crisps?
Surely if you've opened a pack of crisps and don't want to finish it you'd just fold the top over and maybe clip it shut. Who has enough left over crisps that they need a longer term crisp storage solution? Who doesn't eat up a bag of crisps within a few days?
It's madness!!0 -

Exactly. The only situation I can think of is if maybe you had boxes of yellow sticker crisps for ten pence or something, but in my experience they stay fresh for months after the use by date anyway, and wouldn't be worth the freezer space.0 -
I didn't know you could freeze crisps, but did know the rest. I agree with Honey and Fairy--I can't imagine why I would want to freeze crisps--they seem to stay fresh long after their bb date and they don't seem a particularly economical way to use freezer space--but then I guess if I ever get the urge at least I'll know!0

No, as mentioned earlier, she simply hasn't grasped the point of having a freezer. And I really doubt that most of her 'facts' are true.
And, with eggs, why 'Remember to note how many eggs you are freezing at a time'? You'll see every time you open the freezer for chrissake.0
