I sold a pair of trousers last week, giving the sizes (waist and inside leg) which I obtained from the label (which I photographed too)
The buyer has complained stating that these are wrong and he wants to return them and get his money refunded, including the return postage.
I spoke to Ebay who say I shouldn't be paying the return postage, as they were listed correctly.
No doubt if i don't the buyer will probably give me a negative feedback. As I currently have 100% I am obvioysly keen to keep it that way, so will probably just have to pay the postage.
Am I right just to pay .. and move on

Unfortunately ebay would not remove feedback in these circumstances.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Is the buyer saying the actual item is a different sizing to the sizing given on the label?0

The person I spoke to at Ebay (Philippines) said they could remove a negative, but of course 'could' 'should' and 'will' are all different
Maybe I'll just refund in full.
When I had my real problem buyer in January this year I was promised time and time again that CS would remove any poor feedback or stars left by the buyer.
Buyer left a positive with 1 * for item description and CS then refused point blank to remove it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would think it would depend on the reason for return. I'd personally have checked the waist size beyond just the label. If the label said 28" waist and they were 60" waist then the buyer could justifiably leave a neg if you make him pay return postage..0

If everything was listed correctly, I wouldn't refund return postage for a change of mind. Once you lose your 100%, you will attract less of the feedback blackmailers.0

 I suppose he must be.
Perhaps, as another poster has said, I should have measured the waist etc before listing it and not just relied on the label.
At least now I know what to do next time .. Read label, check measurements and then post, providing label sizes, as well as actual measured sizes.0

It's not uncommon for clothes to be mis-labelled. If you include measurements they should be your own.
No matter what, put yourself in your buyers shoes. Would you want to pay a return if the sizing said 32 and was 49?
You won't know the issue until you get them back (if that is cost effective).0

I think it really depends on the health of your account. If you sell loads and have a low number of defects then I would stand your ground and refuse to pay return postage. If a defect could potentially hurt you or put your account at risk then you are going to just have to give in to their blackmail.
Personally I do not think you have done anything wrong. If the label says one size then you have to take that at good faith. Unless the label is obviously wrong i.e it says 28" and its clear they are a 40". Or if you have mistaken a EURO size for a waist measurement.
As for negative feedback. Ebay were removing feedback if you asked them but now seem to have gone in the opposite direction and refusing to remove genuinely unfair feedback. A single negative won't hurt your account. Just reply to it factually. If I saw someone had explained a negative then I would still buy from them. As others have said, having a 100% record does encourage some buyers to take advantage.0
