Rossendales Collect

please could you help me. I have received a letter from debt recovery service Rossendales. This was for a ticket I received from Excel Parking Services Ltd.
The ticket was 4 yrs. ago. I appealed by letter with photos evidence as all the signs pay machine were covered with black bags. I never heard a word off Excel, no even a letter so I thought they had accepted my appeal.
I came home today from work to find a letter from this debt recovery service asking for a £100. Please would you advise to contact them, I did not keep the copy of the parking fine, I only shredded it last year as I did not think I would need it. I still have the photos

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page. This gives you all the information you need, the most important being that you can safely ignore debt collectors.
Do not contact them. The only thing they can do is send you poor quality bog paper. The letters may have red writing and things typed in bold, but it is still bog paper and can be ignored.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

second case tonight , excel chasing pre 2012 cases , yours is the second one that the person(you) has admitted being the driver , sit back , Rossendale's cannot do anything .
I think they are checking to see if you reply , and if not issue CC court papers in the hope you have moved and get a default.
you can tell Rossendale's to get st^^ffed , however you might get more and more letters, if you don't reply , they might forget , or go for a CCJ , however you will get the papers and fight them0 -
Thank you fruitcake, it does have red writing and things typed in bold just panicked I was shock after 4 years. I am sorry Sticky thread for NEWBIES. I have never posted before so this is all new to me0

thank you, Enfield Freddy I am not bothered about the letters after the help I have got off some kind people. But could not understand after 4 years.
But you have explained, so I feel relieved.
I hope they forget, but if they don't I still have the pics thank god0 -
remember , this is Rossendale Collect , not Rossendale Bailiffs , this company have in the past "accidentally" put the wrong letter headed paper in the printer before now.
they have no more rights to collect money than I have.
you are pre POFA , when the laws changed (2012) normally the advice is to sit back because they have to prove you were the driver (pre late 2012)
as stated above , you have "outed" yourself by admitting to be the driver.
looks like they are going thru a lot of old files in order (hoping) to catch people out who have moved.
another case tonight

both today , and there are more on peppipoo and legal beagles0 -
They are fishing for mugs. In order to get one cent from you they would have to win a claim at SCC. To this end, they would have to prove that your actions caused them to lose the sum they are demanding. Almost impossible if this was a free car park. Let them huff, let them puff, your house is safe. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Looks like I'm not the only one to have this letter. Mine dates back to the 31st May 2011. Strange how they only want £100 when my last letter claimed I owed £200 plus. Thanks to the advice on here I will ignore and file away with the rest of the paperwork I have.0

yup , a glut of those letters , however in at least 2 cases the OPs have "outed" themselves by appealing many yrs ago if this is the case the PPC can bring a claim (even pre POFA) as they know the identity of the driver
if you don,t fall into this area , sit back and collect the paper0
