Hi All
I was thinking of buying the Intel 3 version of the laptop below for my sixth form child! It needs to give fast internet browsing, including Netflix without buffering, also good DVD performance.
The I3 version is £315 on Amazon. Do you techie experts think that will do what I need?

Thanks!

or the I5 version for £339 after cashback

first item = i3-4005U score = 2470
second item = i3-4030U score = 2704
there seems to be many variant's of that models range0 -
Thanks for the answers guys.
Do you think the one on my initial link will do the job?0 -

it is not particularly fast , however it might be ok for your needs0

Will the fact that it is I5 outweigh the smaller memory and capacity?0 -

Sorry if this is a numpty question, but how do you know it isn't particularly fast?0 -
Netflix buffering and fast internet will have more to do with the broadband connection than the laptop.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

because if you read the specifications and the CPU model (noting any letters following the number) then go to here http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php and check them out
first item = i3-4005U score = 2470
second item = i3-4030U score = 2704
even the smallest intel "g" desktop computer has a reading of about 2500 and a fully blown i7 will exceed 10000 , 2500 is marginal , and there will be doubt's as to streaming or fast internet etc0
