Zenith Leasing and Data Protection

Apologies if this is in the wrong area but I’m trying to get a bit of advice around Zenith leasing
The situation is I handed my lease car back and they are claiming damage outside the fair wear and tear policy there was 5 counts of issues they are charging for, 3 of these I have no issue with and totally accept but 2 of the them are very questionable in my eyes and I challenged this.
I have just had an e-mail back stating basically it was me saying tough you have to pay it, on the quick inspection sheet I have there was no notes of this “damage” is there much I can do or am I sort of stuck with it?
Also on the first e-mail to me they sent picture and the PDA collection sheet that I signed upon delivery of the car but this PDA sheet was actually for someone else given me there name, address, signature etc… I see this as a massive data protection breach and told them this and that I’m very concerned that my details were sent to someone but they seemed to have ignored these concerns, what people’s thoughts on this in here? Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill about this? As I see it as big issue?
Any advice would be great?

Its a breach and the ICO would slap their wrist for it but being realistic its really not sensitive data and very easily findable with minimal effort for the vast majority of us. The signature is a little more sensitive but when was the last time you actually say one ever being checked?
At the end of the day at this point you have no idea even if your rights have been breached, all you know is one other persons have.0 -
I would contact the other person and tell them you have all their details and they need to complain to Zenith.
I did a similar thing when i received insurance paperwork for someone that used to live down the road but moved away.
It had a lot of their personal details.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
What is your point?
Do you want to not be liable for damages you caused to the car due to a clerical error that may have breached somebody elses privacy?0
