Being chased for money from 2010-2012??

I moved house over 2 years ago and have just received a letter from a 'debt collector' company saying I owe a £54 gas bill!!

I called everywhere when we moved with readings etc but now have no paperwork for this (hence being so long ago)

Does nobody know where I stand with this?

If you think you owe it, I would suggest you pay it.

If you don't think you owe it, or are just not sure, I would suggest you call the gas supplier and talk things over with them

If 2010 it would not be statute barred, if that's what you are asking. In England and Wales the time limit is 6 years.
So find out if it's a valid bill, and if so pay it.
