    Hi all

I hope you're all OK and able to enjoy the better weather we've been having.

I managed a NSD yesterday and am hoping for more of the same today with the exception of buying tea tonight; it's OH's birthday and we're going to go out for a meal.

Unfortunately for once I do not have any discounts/vouchers to use as it must be a while since we've been. Will have a sneaky check online/rummage for some receipts though!

    Morning All
Dawn -a day that starts cleaning up dog pee can only get better right? Maybe you & Twiggy could start a pet owners support group after Twiggys start the other day. Hope Mr feels better soon.

Foxgloves - you do put me to shame with your endless Tigger like bounceability. And like Tiggers Foxgloves are wonderful things :) keep bouncing !!

Hannah -have a lovely day out. Hope the weather is kind to you.

    BB -have a good day

Twiggy -well done on your money making. It all helps.

FVD - I'm glad you made the decision. It's such a huge one and has a lot of repercussions if you do feel you get it wrong. Good luck finding the new one.
Thanks for the advice as well. Glad to hear your daughter is getting her money back. It's only fair.

So today. I decided on my way to work that I'd write a positive things list as soon as I could. Because quite frankly I think I've kept peddling in a situation many others would have had a nervous breakdown about. And you know what, I'm sure as hell not going to give up now.
    1. Cleaned the kitchen, including oven.
    2. Cleaned the chiller & re bowled & replated anything that needed it.
    3. Gave my son a lovely cuddle as I realised we hadn't had many yesterday. He is so independent now it's going to be a huge shock going back to having a new small person again. Most mornings he gets himself up, goes downstairs for breakfast which OH makes & entertains himself till school run. I do miss the days he'd want to stay in bed with us for that time but it's natural.
    4. Had a bit of a catch up with OH about his upcoming day as I had to shoot up to bed early last night as I had a very upset tummy. Ended up falling asleep by about 9. So good to catch up before the day began.
    5. Have so far had 3 regular customers. 2 nice women and their small ones, & a man I haven't seen in ages. Not a huge take so far but I am seeing the positive.
    6. Spoke to someone online last night about a bike, as I don't have one and we just share my husbands bike. He only wants £100 for what is a nice lightweight man's mountain bike. OH may view it tonight and test ride it for me. If I can sort a bike out before the end of the school hols it will make my life much easier. Less rushing to get to school in the afternoons.
    7. Not today but I did manage to cook a nice spag bol for me and OH last night, & got son a fish pie for £1 from the Supermarket which he wolfed.
    8. Just had a lovely chat with a lady and her kids. Not a massive spend but a nice exchange.
    9. Have already taken more than I did yesterday!
    10. Have managed to get the new tablet to see the PayPal machine & all to work at the same time. Massive progress!

    Enjoy the sunshine.

    Bob

Wow sorry. It took me so long to finish my post that I missed your posts CTF, Little Sprinkles, Bagpuss & Milliemummy.

Carrie -what an interesting thought re choice. I do feel at a bit of a cross roads. Do I go back to what I know or push on with other thoughts? ? I will DM you about the local. Thanks for the great suggestion.

Could you tie it in with a bit of mystery shopping?

I am registered with market force who seem to specialise in restaurants/pubs etc. One of the big chains was recently offering a whopping £35 reimbursement.

My day is going goooooood! I have had a reply to one of my leaflets dropped in my favoured roads :T i am going to call them tonight. Their house sounds like it's had a lot of work done on it so they may feel it's worth more than we can pay but I *did* say on the leaflet what we would be prepared to pay and they've still contacted me so fingers crossed.

I bought both breakfast and lunch this morning, today is press day so I wasn't sure if i'd get the chance to go out (which is still no excuse for not making it at home!)

I need to renew my Mr T delivery saver so I can make sure I have lunch stuffs in.

Tonight will be TV and then an early night, I was woken at 2.30am this morning by my son who had decided to cycle home from his friend's house instead of staying over. I will be so pleased when we live closer.

    Have a great day all!

DD265 - Enjoy your meal tonight

MM - Have a good day

Bob, lots of great things on your list. I hope the afternoon is a good one.

FatVonD - Fab news, fingers crossed!

My day didn't go to plan as we were meant to be going to a castle with my parents & the boys but they've had a power cut which meant not going far whilst they waited for calls to get it sorted. So we are going to the castle on Sunday instead which will be nice as hubby will be able to come with us. As their power was out they took us to the local harvester for a late breakfast (their treat :) ) The portions of cooked breakfast that came for my boys (6 & 9yrs) was enough to feed a grown man!! I always have a couple of ziplock bags in my handbag in case of lost teeth, weird shaped pebbles etc that they often want to put in my handbag so out one came and its now in my fridge full of sausage & bacon!! Thats going to go into a meal tomorrow....pasta surprise I think! They won't be wanting much to eat tonight either after, so homemade butternut squash soup and fruit for tea.
After my parents got the call from the electricity people, I took the boys to Morrisons to get a box of ice creams for the freezer and they asked to pop into Game to see if there was anything they wanted to spend pocket money on. My eldest came out with a preowned xbox game £4.99 and 2 disney infinity characters (usually about £8+ each) these werent boxed and were in a bargain bin thing, so he asked how much to be told £3.99 each and they were in the same 3 for the price of 2 offer that the game he wanted was in..result one happy boy spending less then £9.

  • Hi Hannah!

Thank you, my day has been a semi disaster. I forgot to put the oil in my cupcakes and the frosting went a bit runny..... They still taste good though!! I've seen a daily gratitude journal online, but with all of my craft items I think I can make one up myself. Hoping hubs is home early as he had a training course today, that will definitely make my day better. My bacon was also off, so we could end up with just potato salad for dinner.......
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Well, I had a little bit of a change of plan with my list. I got all the ironing, baking, picking, soup-making, veg-prepping stuff done. Then mr f texted to say he'd unexpectedly finished work early. He's been interviewing & of course half of them are only applying to keep the Job Centre sweet, so didn't turn up & didn't bother letting anyone know, so he ended up with an afternoon off. He hefted the 3 big bags of compost into the boot for me at the garden centre, then said as it was such a nice day, was there anything I could usefully be doing in the garden. If so, he was offering to clean the house, which would normally be my big Friday morning job. I felt a bit bad with it being his afternoon off, but he said, 'Well, I'll only spend it on my X-box'. So he cleaned the house & I spent the afternoon in the veggie garden, where I sowed a big box of carrots, 2 troughs of spring onions & 1 of radishes. As I haven't got to do any cleaning tomorrow, I shall do all the admin/budgeting updates then. But all in all, a good day! Even managed to write my blog post, & I'm going to knit later xx
