Compared with similar geology in the US and West Siberia, it estimates that 3% to 15% of the oil could be recovered
It doesn't sound like dig a hole and it spurts out type of oil!0 -

The bloke I heard interviewed from UKOG was at pains to say that the oil could be conventionally accessed. But I agree, Beverly Hillbillies it ain't.

The greens will find a way to stop it, they object to everything energy related, even so-called green energy.
The Greens intend to harness "objection energy" - that difficult to define power needed to object to something like oil or gas.
The problem is that you need continual new finds, just to do nothing with them except object.0 -

It reminds me of the old Monster Raving Loony strategy of having jogging centres where joggers would be put to harness the energy they expended for it to be turned into electrical power.:D0 -

Perhaps they can just harness the hot air spouted by their lunatic leader to power some kind of steam turbine generator.0 -

Fantastic news though - for all Brits :T
Actually, we should take Alex and Nicola's advice, and use the revenue from this new find to create a new "English" sovereign wealth fund.
How could the SNP object? This is what they would propose if a discovery were made in the Scottish highlands!0 -
Will it make petrol cheaper ?
Heating oil ?
Be used to pay off this deficit caused by W*nking bankers ?
Or will it all vanish in to the pockets of the same old people and we, the Joe public still have to work until we drop dead at the wheel.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
If true, I hope that this will allow us to distance ourselves politically from Putin and the Saudis, instead of having to fawn pathetically. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

Perhaps. The price of oil paid by consumers is almost entirely made up of tax. If more taxes are paid at the well head, less is paid at the level of the consumer.0
