Hi All
I currently have:
1. Around 73k in a cash ISA with First Direct at 1.5%
2. Around 30k in a Santander First Home Saver Account at 1.5%
3. Around 5k in a First Direct Current Account not receiving any interest but for my daily transactions
Could anyone kindly advise on a better set up?
I've spent ages today thinking how I could combine accounts across First Direct and Santander to get the higher rates. I need to keep my 73k ISA away from my other savings to not go above the 85k limit with any one institution, so will not be adding this years £15,240 to it. I may hold out for a Help to Buy ISA for this year, but not keen on how little you can save in it (but hoping to buy a property in the next years so may be worth it).
Also read with interest about the S&S ISA's which I know very little about.
Any advice would be very much appreciated :T
