i sell on ebay quite a lot, occasionally i get buyers claiming not to have recieved thier items,i find if you ask them to wait a few more days most will be willing to wait but some on the other hand are not willing to wait, they ask for an instant refund, this leads me to believe that they have recieved thier item and are trying to get a thier money back and item, most of my sales are low value but i find if i put up a bit of a fight they either forget it or the item suddenly appears....work permit granted!0

I bought an item on 26th july and I`ve emailed my seller to put her in the picture re me not receiving the item yet. I`ve also told her that I am happy to wait because of the RM strike, however I think there is a need to inform the seller in case the item doesn`t turn up at all
I wouldn`t willingly be a seller at the moment0 -
I`m still waiting and not just from ebay. Post is very mixed at the moment eg an item I bought 2 days ago arrived today and an ebay item 14 days ago hasn`t aerrived but neither have 2 items from elsewhere so I think it depends on the hub the parcels go through0

Still waiting on stuff ordered on the 1st so your seller's not alone. Tell him that the strike means that a lot of post isn't getting through and to wait for a few days longer."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

the problem is with the staggering.eg if your item is posted on the day off a collections strike it misses 1 day.
then if the next day is a mail centre strike it misses another day etc etc through the handleing/sorting chain.
whereas if its posted the day after it can move through the system relativly normally and can often 'overtake' the day before mail due to the way the system works.
also with managers, temp staff working strike days/extra hours they may have a higher rate of missorting adding to delays.
eg a wrong label on a container of parcels can send it to the other end of the country before the mistake is noticed0 -
Yup, something I asked to be posted to me yesterday arrived today. Things can apparently bypass the backlog! My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Just to echo what everyone else is saying - I've been waiting 10 days for a first class parcel from a reputable seller. It's coming from Staffordshire and our post here is always a bit hit and miss anyway!
Everything should turn up eventually, just don't hold your breath!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
