I was reading it as LR was replaced, and LR has failed and been replaced three more times since. Perhaps the OP could clarify?
Ah you could be right. then the original garage has fixed the same one three times with the faulty machine. Stands to reason the others need checked too if they were all done.

The way I read it, the pipe was relaced by one dealership, then split, and has been "repaired" twice at another garage, then taken to a third garage who is blaming faulty tools.
Me, I'd replace the pipe with some from a different roll, flaring isn't rocket science, it is more likely a faulty pipe if 2 different garages can't get it right. You would have thought brake pipe was seamless tube, but I suspect this one is welded.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Op - have the pipes repaired elsewhere and send the garage the bill?
If you have to pursue it in court I think a judge will deem 3 attempts of repair more than reasonable considering you lose half your braking ability and are seriously being put at risk! This isn't exactly a minor hiccup, the end result could be very dangerous.
A complaint to TS is also justified!0 -

I assumed the OP's remark about 'flat to the floor' was because there was no pressure in the pedal, not because of driving style. But there are people who will always interpret something in a way they can criticise. Sadly, this forum has a few of those.Is this a joke or are you a complete moron? Thanks all for your feedback and interest. To answer some of your questions:
- My foot was indeed flat to the floor because of a lack of pressure in the pedal, rather than driving style.
- It is the same brake pipe (LR) that has been replaced and has broken each time. Only the LR pipe has been replaced at any point in this saga.
- The original work was carried out by the in-laws local garage and was paid for. Every repair since (three) has been carried out by my local garage, in order to have it covered under their warranty (same dealership franchise as the in-laws local garage). This same garage is now blaming faulty tools.0 -

I'm now a bit baffled, though. If your local garage have "fixed" it on the last three occasions, how come it's the fault of the original garage's tools/skills still?0 -
