Removing Fraudalent Accounts from Credit Report

Good afternoon guys,
I've signed up here as i'm at a loose end to what do with my Credit Report and i've no idea how to sort this out.
I recently applied for a Mortgage on a property and knew everything would be fine as since I've been a teenager (25 now) i've been very good with money and never been overdrawn/defaulted/never paid late on any accounts or loans knowingly.
To my surprise my Mortgage lender turned me down for a Mortgage which shocked me, I asked why and it was due to my Credit Report being poor, this was a huge shock.
I have now looked at my credit report and I can see 3 accounts which I knew nothing about until very recently.
They are 3 mail order/catalogue companies and I knew I never bought anything from these companies in the past.
To cut a long story short, I found out my Mother obtained Credit in my name so she could buy stuff from these companies, and when she defaulted these have obviously gone against me and put a huge black mark on my report.
These 3 accounts add up to roughly just under £3000 in debt.
She has told me and I can see evidence that she is pay £40 per month to each debt to try and settle, but this is going to take forever and also I will still have these default for 6 years afterwards?
I'm very annoyed and this has royally F**cked me over, it's hard enough buying a property as it is let alone with this.
I would like some advice on how to go about removing my name from these 3 accounts and being transferred to my mothers name and all these accounts removed from my credit report?
Please Help

Basically you would need to go to the police to report the fraud and with the crime reference number call up the companies and ask them to remove the accounts.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. You will probably not like the advice you will be offered.
You must report this to the companies as fraud and also make a report to the Police. You will then be able to make a case for having the accounts removed from your credit history.
In the event that you initial reaction is 'I don't want to get my mother into trouble' you only have two choices. Report it and get it sorted or do nothing a live with it. Unfortunately, there is no third option.0 -
Coincidently, saw this earlier.

Yes, the dysfunctional CRAs strike again.0 -
Essentially you have to shop your mum to the police for fraud and let her deal with the consequences of her crime - if you do not it would just seem to the companies that the two of you have got the goods and then are trying to wangle out of paying for it.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
