Good Morning everyone it's another lovely day down south and looks to be a warm one, I saw 18 on the weather map for our neck of the woods today. We got out the garden table and chairs yesterday afternoon and they are now set up on the patio and hopefully we'll have lunch outside today, I'll have to be inventive and use up all the 'tail ends' in the fridge so I don't quite yet know what I'll make. He Who Knows and Docky are out for a walk, Olaf has had his green goo breakfast and the house is clean and tidy with just some ironing to do (he washed while I was away!!!) and then a pop to the centre on the bus to top up supplies until shopping on Friday. Hope you are all enjoying this smashing weather, have yourselves a good day, Lyn xxx.0

Morning all
Hubby's gone to help a friend this morning for a couple of hours, he's building a green house.
I've fed the fish & played ball with the dog for a while, I did try to post a while ago but someone came to the door & I had to fend off the dog & sign for a parcel, hubby's phone has finally been repaired. & returned.
I have washing on the line & hopefully it will dry as its sunny at the moment.
No idea what else will get done, hubby may want to go to the garden center if he gets back in time or he may go to the pub with his friend, in which case he'll come home & go to bed!
Have a good day everyone.

Judi - Good news for Soldier's visit (and your DD and partner too!).
So excited. My daughter is booking the tickets this morning. She's trying to find a flight that wont include a 10 hour stop over in Dubai... and comes to Birmingham airport..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Youngest is not coming as she has too much work to do so will make her own lunch
I managed to order a mattress topper and special seat pad thing that should make DH more comfortable as he has no padding on his bones and they arrive next week.

Busy morning, the chap came to look at my lap top again, he found that Bitdefender had fended off a fraud attempt.......otherwise something had come in that made the lap top run slowly, it was not a virus, he thinks it was possibly attached to the 'ask' bar that appeared a while ago.
For the first time this year we had morning tea and lunch on the patio at the back of the house, if it is still warm enough afternoon tea will be taken oout there too.
Quick trip into town to do some top up shopping, the traffic on Thorpe Road was horrendous, traffic jammed back from the turning to Twin Lakes, I guess it will be like this until the children go back to school.
I made 6lbs of marmalade, its cooling just now.0 -

Hi everyone.
I've actually got my sewing machine out. Made a case for some double ended knitting needles yesterday :A. Today I am putting some scouting badges on a blanket, bearing in mind he is now 30, the cub ones were on the the others have been in my sewing box on the "to do" list, so decided to knock that one off. He won't be wanting it at the moment, but if and when he has kids then he might want to show it them, but didn't want to throw them away. The blanket (travelling rug in OS speak, red plaid) was my Mum's so a real family piece. I want to make a case for some bamboo crocheting hooks I got from Fleabay, so that is the next project. Then I may feel, ready to tackle some real dressmaking, I have the patterns and the material. . . .
I went to have a back and leg massage this morning and pedicure, so feeling pampered. Also been back yet again to,the dentist, who now seems to,be taking me seriously that the problem I went to him with in November is not resolved, have to go back again at 9 in the morning!! Friday we have to go down to Taunton for a funeral, so that will take all day, ours friends/neighbours will have Skye for the day.
Elona Hope that DH is more comfy with the toppers. There is a bungalow next door to us went up for sale today, we have lost the couple who were like a third Grandparent to DS. It's strange enough not having them there (they have both passed away), but having someone new after 30 years will be awful. We are on a very quiet rarely for sale street, and so not used to new neighbours.
HH Hope your eyesight is back to normal now.
RR Don't work too hard.
Dumpling. Are you making changes to a rented house?
Judi When will the be here? Bet you are excited,
Tru Skye now lays on a bed with her harness connected to the seat belt, with an adapter, but at first she went in a travel crate, a canvas type one we have now for the Caravan and when we are in Spain or hotels, she sleeps in it, DH calls it her her little house, As when she is fed up of us she just goes and lays in there.
Right better get back to these badges. ((Hugs)), spoons & positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

Arrive at Birmingham International on Friday 1st May at 12.25. They leave on Wednesday 27th May at 21.20.
Counting the days.... hours ... minutes. They will be not just visiting us family, they have close friends down South and in London they will be visiting but they will be staying for the majority of it in my youngest daughters house and they are using my future Son In Laws' car. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
