Well I was aways under the impression that paying on credit card gave you a certain amount of protection. When I spoke to the credit card company the adviser said they would take it up.

Section 75 protection that you get with a credit card covers you against the supplier not meeting their contract or the goods not bring up to scratch. OnTheBeach have done nothing wrong here and it's not their fault. They will still supply the holiday you booked. It's you that can't take it. You agreed to the T&Cs when booking. I doubt very much your credit card would cover you.

Claim on your travel insurance. You'll lose the excess but put that down to experience. Be thankful your policy covers pregnancy, not all do.

If you book for June just buy a single trip policy for that holiday. Buy it as soon as you've booked and declare the pregnancy.

The credit card company is just jointly liable, it doesnt create any additional protection beyond if the merchant goes bust.

Pregnancy is seen as a choice and as such isnt normally covered by insurance unless you have complications.
