I have recently been 4 payments behind on a virgin card, i phoned this morning and found out that it had been transferred to Virgin. I have no defaults and do not live at the address (work abroad). I am really worried i have now defaulted (MBNA dont default till 6/8 payments).
What can i do, I have tried to call and have no details

Its not just you, Virgin have stopped using MBNA fro their cards. Some customers were transferred to MBNA some stayed with Virgin. (don't know how they decided)
