ISAs online or not

I've never transferred ISAs in or gone with an ISA provider other than my current bank so everything has always been straight forward. It's time for me to do something about it. It seems to me that having an ISA that isn't managed online is a lot of hassle. Is that the general consensus?

I have always bought and managed my ISAs online to take advantage of the best rates as and when they occur. It is all very easy. My only problem is that I tend to forget what I have where, so it is a nice surprise when I find out!!0

So you have also not chosen for non-online (branch or postal) ISA. Seems a lot more work and then you need to keep booklets I suppose, haven't done that for years. I have a question for you, can you open ISAs online with banks and building societies without having a current account with them. Is that common?0

I have online and postal ISAs, mind you all I do is leave them or transfer them and as you contact the new provider for a transfer, no big deal really.
You don't need a 'matching' current account to open an ISA - more places offer ISAs than current accounts.0
