Buying an Xbox 360?

I should be asking slim or "E" and not slim or Elite? With E being newest.
Either way it'll be an Xbox 360 I'll be purchasing which suits my requirements most.
So, slim or "E"?
That was the point I was trying to make earlier, the E and Elite are completely different models with the Elite being a much older console that you wouldn't be wanting. The Xbox E is a cheaper version of the slim and loses a few ports which limits the external audio equipment you can connect the 360 to. A quick look at Amazon shows a Slim 250GB for £180 while a 360 E 500GB with Fifa is cheaper at £160 so it's a case of weighing up the lost ports against the cost saving.

After more reading online i'm finding that the Slim is actually the better (sounding) one.
As for price, they're all around the £85 marker at CEX.
I already have a controller so don't need that. I'm not bothered with game bundles either as i'll pick up the games i want. It's pretty much just the console i want but like i say, it's around £85 for either.0 -

Doesn't matter as there are tons of games to choose from and some can be bought cheap.0 -
Why is the white wired controller so difficult to buy new? I can find the black but not white - only imitations, not the official one.
Mine broke yesterday so I was going to get another but I prefer the white to the black & wired to wireless.0 -
They've not produced white consoles for quite some time now so I assume in turn they've also stopped producing white controllers.
