PLEASE HELP ME!!

I got recently got married and I trusted a company named Imperial Events to do my wedding photography.

I’m absolutely hysterical over my wedding photos, which I paid over £1,000 for.

- 50% of the special moments have been missed
- there no images of our first dance where we are looking at the camera and our heads aren’t cut off
- there are no bridal portraits taken.
- images are blurry, have poor lighting etc.

The family and I am really upset and not sure what we can do.

I have tried several times, to contact them however they keep ignoring my calls and emails. I spoke to a guy named [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM].

I don’t know what recourse a bride has in these circumstances. Help!

Please can someone help me track down the owner urgently.

This is their website: imperialeventsuk.com

Thanks in advance

Looking at the website it looks quite a shady operation.

Did you meet with the photographer before the wedding or see any of his work?

Do you have wedding insurance? Hopefully you can claim the cost back if they haven't provided the service expected.

Sorry to hear this happened! :(

Oh no. I am sorry to hear this!!! Not sure what you can do though. Even if you get your money back (or some of it,) it can't bring that day back. :(

What about contacting some guests? Loads of people probably took some pics, and many people have good cameras (and phones that take good pictures,) and you may be able to get a decent amount of good pics together to at least try and compensate a little...

About 10 years back, this woman we knew had rubbish pics taken, and she went around about 30 or so people who were there (including us,) and manage to concoct a fairly decent wedding album with what they got off others. 5 of the 40 pics in their finished album are ones I took.

Maybe that is an option? Maybe even check people facebooks? :)

When you meet before hand and saw the photos they did, did you say that was what you wanted? Do you still have a leaflet showing their good work?

Did you give a list of the shots you wanted, did they do ANY of these shots?

You say they have not given you any bridal portraits, can you remember on the day these being taken?

Did you pay for the photos up front?

    Do you have insurance?

I'd it possible to travel to the offices, where did you meet beforehand? I would try trading standards and see what they suggest.

Can you Photoshop any of the photos?

This is their Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/ImperialEventsLtd?__nodl can you try to message on here.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Not much help in getting your money back but book yourselves in for a photo shoot in a studio wearing your outfits (my BIL and SIL did this, with a different dress even, apparently it's commonplace in China!)

Do you have a college nearby? Maybe you could pay one of the photography students a small fee to take some pics of you in the gardens of the church/reception venue.

I know they won't be pics of the actual day but it may be the best compromise you have now.
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

How did they ruin your wedding? You didn't even see the photos on the day.
  • Hi cashewnut,

Unfortunately I did not think to buy wedding insurance.

As others have asked- Did you agree with the photographer what it was you wanted?
Did you see their other work?
Do you remember them taking the bridal/special moment photos during the wedding?
  • Hi jaylee3,

Thank you for your support, this is a awesome idea.

I think will do the ring around and try and scrape some images together. Sadly, at the moment I do not even have enough to make a album :-(

    You're welcome hun! :j

I can only imagine how upset you must be.

And you will probably be surprised at how many pics people will have taken!

Like I said, check peoples facebooks as well as asking around the people who went. :)

    Good luck. :)
