I always say if you actually got married and are both still happy that you did, then the day was not ruined

Thank you for the support.
I paid them for a service, and I expected to receive that service.

Oh, I don't dispute that. Just calling for some perspective. For example, a judge would not award you the entire cost of the wedding...
I hope your friends have some good pictures for you. That seems like a fine idea2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
In the larger picture, the wedding album is a tiny piece of the jigsaw of a marriage. The first year, it sits on the coffee table, the second year, it sits on the top of a bookcase ...and by the time the children arrive, it is relegated to the sideboard - and when you move house, it is packed up in a box and finishes up in the loft.
When my OH died, we looked for it ..found it eventually in a box in the corner of the loft, along with a box of mecchano!0 -
As above. Last year was our silver wedding and I actually looked for the wedding album as I wanted to put a pic online, a then and now sort of thing. It was right at the back of the understairs cupboard and I can't remember the last time I looked at it before that.
The money they've taken off you is well out of order, but the lack of a few decent wedding pics is not worth being 'hysterical' about. You've married the man you love, with your family and friends present and that was just one day out of what I hope will be a long and happy marriage for you with lots of other special moments to come.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
Ask all your friends to send copies of the pics they have taken ,you might find someone who can edit them for you and make a presentable album of the day . I know it wont be quite the same but it will be pics taken on the day.0

Great ideas for getting an album together.
As regards the actual service you received then this link should help.

I think this thread should be pulled, Im surprised its lasted as long as this. Really don't think naming and shaming a company on a board like this is productive and if it is untrue, well it could do damage.0

You might be able to take them to court to force them to give you all the photos they took and/or to get your money back. Then you could maybe use the money to get a good photographer to enhance the photos the best they can, along with some very good guest's pics, to give you a decent album.
If you google you'll find the story of another bride who have successfully sued their photographer.
The problem with small claims is not getting a judgment, but enforcing it. If the defendant has no assets a claim could be fruitless.0
