Nobody fancied my Belgian beer last night at the do, so I took it upon myself to consume the drink myself.

Tip for next year: Don't drink your (unwanted) booze... drink the rest. You might get "gifted" yours as you leave because they know nobody else likes it :)

Aw, that's a rotten shame PN - nothing worse than going somewhere and ending up wishing you just hadn't bothered!

I hope you've warmed up again now.

Here, the house is warm and yet I found myself unable to get warm hands and feet, and ended up putting a vest on, ridiculous. I do feel a lot cosier now though.

Happy New Year Nice People!

Chicken and leek soup with croutons arriving shortly for lunch, then it's off to see the GrandKids, Hope I survive the chaos! ;)

Been shopping online this morning - couldn't resist a £70 fake fur cossack hat reduced to £21... Then had to make up the order to over £50 so could have free delivery! Not very MSE, but OH does need some new socks, and there was a set of jolly stripey ones in a set of 5 reduced to £6 and I ordered a sweater for me that may or may not fit, but will send it back if it doesn't.

I swear I'm never touching alcohol again.....probably until the champagne comes out on the flight back.

Just wondering if Hamish (or anyone else) knows whether the 747 seats are as comfortable as the A380 ones (we've got 17 D/E/F/G in the refurbushed cabin)....not flown on a 747 in yonks

No idea sorry, not been on one in ages, probably a decade or more.

    Happy New Year all....

And I sincerely hope nobody else felt quite as fragile as we did this morning. :)

    Happy New Year everyone!

Day out in Norwich yesterday so the boys could go shopping...youngest purchased a PS4 and Josh a lovely new cymbal (all their own money, youngest has been saving and received a nice amount at Christmas to take him to his target, Josh used his Christmas money plus money from the sale of an old cymbal and savings)

I bought lunch and that was it! I think they get their shopping gene from their father, I try to buy things and rather than feeling on a high, I get buyers guilt and can't enjoy it.

Last night, me and Josh went out to the pub to see the new year in with a local band (who are also long standing friends of ours, I've known the singer for almost 30 years!). A brilliant night out and not too expensive, less than £15 cost for me as we didn't need to get a taxi home and I drink pints...although I was naughty on the way home and got some cheesy chips from the kebab shop.

James was also out but we didn't see him, I came downstairs this morning to all the lights on and James bashed out on the sofa, so he must have had a good night.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Goodbye to yesteryear :)

I must say that you look very good in high heels, CK.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Happy New Year. We did a soggy doggy walk with friends earlier and a fancy dress party last night. I drove.

This is my default position for the rest of the day. I may finally get to watch the recent Luther episodes :)

Barely saw the GrandKids, all too busy playing with new toys in the playroom! New GD is lot bigger than when I saw her last at 4 weeks old! She seems to be much less colicky now than then, which is good. She doesn't like the "tummy time" that apparently they are supposed to do every day and work up towards 30 minutes a day... I think she managed nearly 30 seconds before she started to begin to wail, at which point DD1 picked her up.

DD2 and family just moved to this house, first time I've visited, though have seen its online presence, it's layout is decidedly strange. You know how EAs go on about "Flow"? Well the way this house has been extended it's more "Block"! :rotfl: But it's in a lovely spot, though unadopted road which may become interesting in future...

(DQWD) especially given the land grab that a relatively newby has done recently!!!
