I would be there in time for breakfast.
He is working next saturday and then our holiday takes out three weekends. The shoot territory is then out of bounds due to being used for it's primary purpose ( sorry to be cryptic) so it will be some months until he shoots there again.
I am open to visitors though if you are well enough to travel.0 -

Not sure where you'd have to stand with "took child to Dr, who prescribed some medicine to be dispensed every 2 hours and I've done that 3x"
Also, I think, a lot of schools are hot on who can pick the child up, so you'd need to think about how you'd get clearance for that (probably a form the parent hands in, or something) - it's (partly) to stop split-up-parents from kidnapping their own child from the school....but also random strangers.
You'd need to start putting rules in place - so it's only for children near you and Drs near you - and think about what you'd do if you got two calls from two schools, with two Drs involved, if both parents are paying a subscription. Pick up the first, phone rings and it's another.
I have got an enhanced DBS certificate, don't think the school letting children go would be a problem as parents just add you to the list for little ones and for older ones they just let them out of school. I was only thinking of school my GC go to, lots of mums say how lucky their parents are to have me to rely on. It is actually quite difficult for working parents if no family around.
I'm not looking for loads of money, just speculating on some extra cash for doing what I do anyway.Sell £1500

Maybe after your holiday.

DW and I have nicknames for some of the other school gate mums.
'Stinkie' you can guess why.
'Cheeky' texts us at least once a week and asks if we couldn't just drop her daughter from school to the child minder or to her house because she is too busy and too tight to pay someone to do it. However perhaps if she could find someone who was willing to be paid for just 30 mins of work she would take that option.
Personally I think your idea is a winner but definitely one to market via word of mouth, I think people would be nervous of purchasing it from an advert without a personal recomendation.I think....0 -

Well there is nothing stopping them. From what I hear at the school gate there is a real need for something like this.
I suppose we could debate what people need and if people should do anything to make money if they are already managing to get by but if I decide to do it we will see how it goes.Sell £1500

I suppose I have a head start as my GC are at the school so I "know" some of the mums from there and I know quite a few kids, either friends of my grandchildren or children I do voluntary work with (help out one day a week.) I think it does sound like something that would be useful to the parents and supplement my private pension until the SRP kicks in. I have thought of a part time job but hard to fit round what I do for the family.
The school does have a breakfast and after school club but it doesn't cover the sort of thing I am thinking of, professional granny.:TSell £1500

No, you are thinking of 'Chavy1', 'Chavy2', 'Chavy3'.....all very easily recognised because they are often in their pjs when dropping off in the morning and have normally got their jogging bottoms on by pick up time.
There are also a large number of 'Muttons'I think....0 -
Can any NPs recommend MSE aligned tourist options when visiting NYC?
We are off in a few weeks, and I am sure we will have to compromise on what we see, timewise.
I've done the Empire State before. Does anyone have any experience of the Rockerfeller, for example?
Walk the High Line. Was my favourite thing in NY. Head out from the meatpacking district and you end up looking over the Hudson. Very MSE as it's free of charge
The 9/11 museum is free on a Tuesday (book in advance). I wasnt keen on going but it was really very well done. Not too political, focuses on the human side. Very moving.
We got one of the all inclusive passes for the attractions. Made us get determined to get out money's worth out of it. We also did both the empire state (paid extra to go to the very top) and the Rockerfeller (included on the pass). The view is similar really, but nice to say you've been to the top of the rock too.0 -

Rockerfeller is better than the empire state because the queues are shorter, the views similar and you can see the ESB from the Rockerfeller.

I've had wheelie bins delivered. In a month, I won't have to drag bin bags about anymore, nor will I have to carry recycling boxes. What silly things to be excited about.
Harvesting tomatoes, carrots (blanched them too, including the purple carrots), frozen a stack of beans, and moved a compost bin. I haven't mown the lawn though.
Ordered a water butt too (handily, local water supplier has reduced them to half price) and a connector kit for another butt a friend brought up for free at the weekend. Reducing the water bill here I come! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
