Welcome gfplux, hope you enjoy the thread.
I see from your sidebar that you are in Luxembourg. Are you a native of Benelux, like our dear nice penguin, or living over there?
Do you like mushrooms? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Just joining, I hope I can be a nice person. My mother said I was!
Welcome.
To be fair, any group of people claiming to be nice that includes me is setting the bar pretty low. I used to be an investment banker and I worked for a hedge fund so the whole GFC thing is basically my fault for a start.
Are you a long-time lurker first-time poster or did you just stumble across us on the New Posts button?0 -

Either way although talktalk have not contacted me my account seems to be locked
Plus over time I have probably had half a dozen contract via cpw online companies and who knows which credit, debit and dd account details I used for each
Plus this morning they are suggesting some passwords were not encrypted...!!!!!!?!I think....0 -
carphonewarehouse
Apparently they also leak financial data for talktalk. No idea how many of my accounts and credit cards they have details of.
Well I've just booked myself a Holiday to the Maldives and a nice Pierre Cardin watch using yours.;) Still, think of all the cash back you'll be getting!:money:0 -

Welcome gfplux :hello:
Enjoy the thread. Do tell us more about yourself. I can't see what your avatar is a pic of. Would you care to tell us?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

True.
But on a positive note you claim to like particularly smelly french cheese so we may have to make allowances....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Michaels,I think you're the King of moneysaving, but you're also highlighted some of it's problems. I don't stooze, change credit cards, and (apart from Gas and Electricity suppliers) usually stick with other service suppliers.
I have two Bank accounts, two debit cards,a cash back Amex and Mastercard. I can manage all of these online, remember the passwords, and know which third party account each is associated with.OK I could save a bit more 'playing the system' but don't have to worry when something like this happens.
I hope this Carphone Warehouse disaster dosen't cause you too many problems.0 -

I can see where you are coming from but the 2k tax free every year I make from these activities would be hard to do without.I think....0 -

Speaking of freebies. Trev, have you spotted that you can upgrade your 10.7 Lion OSX to Yosemite for free?
DD's done that, no problems.
Do check that all any paid-for software will run on it, but usually it will (for this particular upgrade). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I see the friendly forum team have been busy deleting/editing posts again this morning.
