I'm glad you are getting your normal sleeping patterns back. Long may it remain that way.
Twins are fascinating. Do they get anxious when you separate them, or get upset when you are caring for the other one, say feeding?
I don't think they really understand what or who the other twin is yet. They don't seem to respond to or even hear the other twin's crying and they don't really look at each other. Even when you put them down on their back right next to each other and they are smacking each other in the face they don't seem to really identify that there is another baby there. From what I have read they don't really start to interact with each other until they are about 6 months old.0 -
Very cute Chewy!
This has just popped up on my feed. I want this view from my office window, not the view of another office

Morning CK. The flooding in Tbilisi and the escape of the zoo animals has just made the news here.
I hope that your family and friends are safe if they are where this is happening. Sounds horrible. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

My family are in largely Rustavi (South of Tbilisi) and Isani (South Tbilisi), with others dotted around the Black Sea coast/Svaneti (Many of us are originally from Abkhazia), so not in the centre.
I'm wondering why the water hasn't gone down into Azerbaijan as it should do/usually does, but the main priority is making sure everyone but the unlucky seven are ok.
Sorry if that sounds insensitive, I don't know how else to explain it in English

No, doesn't sound insensitive at all. The government is right to focus on keeping people safe.
Reminds me that no matter how much we complain about the weather here, it is remarkably benign as a rule compared to say where Gen lives. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? They had pretty bad reflux but now that appears sorted out and they are almost sleeping through the night now - they regularly sleep from about 8pm to 5am which means that we are both almost functional human beings again. It's a lot easier when they are smiling at you instead of screaming then vomiting in your lap.
Excellent news! I agree with everyone else about how fast they seem to be growing! And about Kiwi and cat looking delightful in their photo too.
DD came home safely from her Y6 residential, but complained of a sore eye on Friday night. Yesterday morning (Sat) it was red and puffy, much more painful, and obviously infected. Checked our GP practice's website, which said to call 111 to be directed to the out of hours GP if appropriate. Phoned 111 at 9:15, answered thousands of questions, and was offered OOH appointment at 10:00. Took her there, waited until 10:55, when we were seen by ... our own GP, who was doing a shift at the OOH centre. He says it's a chalazion, it's bacterial, and it needs antibiotic eye ointment, so we've started on that and it's gradually improving.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

They look great and quite individual.0 -
DD2 had a gradually worsening eyes all week which we put down to hayfever. On Friday she took part in some district sports sitting on the playing field all day and by the end her eyes looked terrible, weeping gunk and red and swollen all round. Chemist said she thought infection and offered a course of antibiotic eye drops (starting with drops every two hours for 2 days) or the option to try broline eye drops first (drops every 4-6 hours) and go on to antibiotic if no improvement for 24 hours. We went for the later and within 24 hours it had cleared up completely

We could have gone down the GP route but felt it was something the pharmacist should have been able to sort out - however it did mean we had to pay for the drops rather than getting them free, apparently the pharmacist dispensing minor ailment prescriptions scheme doesn't apply in Herts.
In more prescription cost news, apparently salary sacrificing + personal contributioning all our income to pension means we qualify for free prescriptions, apparently for this there is no capital restriction. No need to even claim it, we got sent the exemption cards automatically - I feel guilty about claiming this.I think....0 -
Interesting michaels. I didn't know pharmacists were allowed to supply antibiotics without a doctor's prescription. V glad she's so much better now.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Nor did I until Friday. I assumed that if they were uncertain or felt it needed looking at by a GP they would have sent us in that direction.I think....0
