SC chicken is one of the the most horrible & disgusting things I've ever had the misfortune to cook
I was really disappointed after all the glowing reports I'd read on here

Have to agree on this one as well - I now either plain roast it or pot roast in a le Creuset casserole - there's well done and there's totally overdone!

Slow cooker too. Don't think it's much use if you're veggie...and I realised that it doesn't really suit my lifestyle either...

Did anyone try the Soap Nuts. I did and my washing never looked clean no matter how many of the things I used.
I tried them and found them to be useless. We tried them with lightly soiled clothes and heavily soiled cycling kit and they didn't clean them very well at all. I didn't actually find them to be cheaper than shop-bought detergents either, but at least I gave them a go

I didn't like the soap nuts either. Mr L said he kept finding 'bits of wood' in his socks! :D

  • Another vote for the slow cooker from me. Isn't great for veggie food and my husband who's a big meat eater doesn't much like it either.

I can't get on with the slow cooker either. I bought mine before I joined this sight though so I don't blame anyone here :D

I also couldn't get on with my breadmaker -I find it quicker and more convenient to handbake 4 loaves at a time. Again, I bought and ditched the BM long before discovering this site.

Menu planning doesn't really work for me either because I constantly change my mind.

My yogurt maker is brill though ;)
  • Love my MF cloths and my SC

cant get on with vinegar in my kettle just does not do anything but love it in my washing machine.

Stardrops i use far more than it says not the fab product i was expecting though is ok for some things
    Still Trying :o

  • soap nuts here, too. I don't mind wash balls for very light washing but had to go back to my normal soap powder.
I did try the washing powder, soda crystals and dear washing powder mix but it wasn't giving me a thorough wash. Really wanted that one to work, too. :(
