Just to point out that in some catalog print runs Argos have forgotten to mark down items that were definitely exempt from the 30 day guarantee with that little cross symbol, like 3rd party internet routers (this is 3-5 years ago). They might have argued that the exemption might have been listed on the website if not in print, but if you only saw the page in the catalog and it wasn't featured there, then you'd have a case to argue.
However as stated it doesn't apply to the OP's case where the stuff is just broken and I haven't seen another print error since that one with the routers.0 -
