The exempt is if you change your mind about the purchase, if it's faulty it's another matter completely and they should exchange it for you.:hello:0

Because your rights for goods that are faulty are not dependent on, or changed by, any additional returns policy the store may choose to have.
Return them and they have to repair, replace or refund.0 -
Argos are usually brilliant when it comes to returning faulty goods...no questions asked in my experience.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

Because this is the law?
The 30 day money back guarantee is a goodwill gesture from Argos and has nothing to do with their obligation to refund/exchange/repair faulty goods.0 -
I expect it is the same kind of rule as you get when you buy earrings or undies - no exchange for hygiene reasons unless faulty of course."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

And I don't know any branch of Argos that will be closed tomorrow
apart from the ons in the City of London area.0 -
And even if SOGA did not apply (which it does, unless Argos go bust before you can get there on Tuesday), you'd still have any manufacturer's warranty to fall back on.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

To be clear, the 30 days for Argos refers to a 'change of mind' return.
Aside of anything else, if it broke 1 week after you bought it, you should be inside the 30 days......
Am I the only person wary of these 1 or 2 post wonders? The site is littered with garbage every school holiday.....and then there are the threads about TV's from John Lewis which go wrong and because JL won't come at 3.45pm on a Tuesday the OP wants their money back.0 -
£329 from Argos - is is 'Beats by Dr Dre' perchance? Massively overpriced and not amazing quality - if you return it perhaps it's worth looking at other brands (I suggest Sennheiser)0
