I got a tweet from somebody today accusing me of taking competitions from there twitter feed and posting them in the MSE Forum. Never even knew the person exsiting until getting the tweet. I am now blocked!
I would like to clarify that it is simple to find new rafflecopter comps by typing "Rafflecopter giveaway UK" or something of the sort and then filter it to posts from the last 24 hours to find new comps I do not take the competiitions from anyone or other forums and think some people should stop being paranoid.
I think maybe a few noses are out of joint because they may be winnig less rafflecopter giveaways as I have posting upquite a few in the last 3 months. They may have remained low entry until being shared in the forum.
Comping is a hobby there is plenty for us all to win. If we share and increase each others chances.
Why do some compers give the rest of us a bad name - grr
Bet I can guess who it was!!!
Just ignore, you do great with your finds. People seem to forget that we can all find them the same way, via Bloglovin feed, twitter, etc. I have an aleart with 'Rafflecopter' that goes straight into my gmail account , gets in a mess, but sometimes I find time to add them!

If something does not make sense it's not true.
Linz1979 you said:
It did motivate me to think outside the box and find other ways to find comps
You said you don't know the twitter person & you were not copying their twitter feed to here, why would you need to think outside the box & find OTHER WAYS to find comps then if you were not doing it in the first place?

I think Linz was referring to the method she outlined in her first post, i.e. changing what she searched for on Twitter. I'm sure the Twitter-troll will soon realise that the comps are still getting posted despite their needless blocking of her, and will realise the error of their ways.
I get the feeling there's a little gang not happy with their 'exclusive' Rafflecopter comps being posted here, even though they're quite happy to get comps from this forum themselves *rolls eyes*0 -
Why be so rude about the person who asked that the comps they tweet are not posted on here?
Why are they a troll?
Surely that's just a polite request?0 -
Hi, if they do not want their comps posting to MSE maybe they should just contact MSE Admin & ask for them to "blocked".SmilesForMiles wrote: »Why be so rude about the person who asked that the comps they tweet are not posted on here?

Posting to members just seems a bit "off" to me but I accept correction.0 -
From someone who joined the forum apparently with the sole intention to post about Linz being a liar, I'm not sure you should be trying to claim the moral high ground on 'polite requests'.
Linz has said she doesn't post directly from anyone's twitter feed, so was trolled with false accusations. A polite request would have been asking her if that's what she was doing, not accusing her and blocking her without any actual cause.0 -
Would that work though Weeowens?, because when someone finds a comp from a twitter feed they could just search for the twitter account or website find the comp on there & then post it here.
It would cause the people copying from other peoples feeds to do some work though I guess instead of copying straight from the feeds
Just seems such a lot of bitterness towards someone who did nothing wrong?
We don't know why they don't want their feeds copied here either could be a very good reason for it0 -

I am a new user who joined yesterday, am I not allowed to reply to things?
Do you know if the twitter person asked her before asking again & blocking her?
Why is someone a troll for politely asking someone to stop posting their feeds to here?0
