I must admit I have noticed myself that your postings tend to match the comps listed the same day in one or two other 'hubs' so maybe the tweeter concerned has a point and I really feel you should respect their wishes. This is also the position MSE takes as a policy.
Either way this is a private matter.
There's nothing wrong with taking competition posts from other "hubs" and posting it on MSE, it's not like the other "hubs" have exclusive rights to post them. Most of those other "hubs" find comps on MSE that they then post to their sites, Users from MSE post comps from MSE onto these other "hubs" so I'm not sure what the big deal is. You should be thanking users for finding and posting comps, whether it be taken from another hub or not, as far as I'm concerned I don't really care where the posts come from, I'm just grateful that people take the time to post them to MSE.0 -

I think "lifting" from other comp sites is wrong and if they are on other sites then they can be entered from those sites but that's just opinion and there are no rules about it. Posters on MSE have also complained about their posts being "lifted" to other sites.
However, the Op has not "lifted" from other sites so that's not an issue anyway.0 -
Yeah, I've complained about someone posting one of my comps onto Netmums, however my problem was more that they lifted the whole thing (including my comments) and just pasted it over exactly as I had posted.
I think it's taken as granted that anything you post online anywhere is open to be passed around ... be that a comp, a joke, a discount code etc etc, you just have to be a bit subtle about it
Generally I don't post from other hubs unless I happen to come across it through Google, I'm not a member of any other hubs ... but I don't have any problems with people that do, I'm glad they do (if they do).
My reply was more in regards to Mirerrawiel_Voltiac's reply:
"I must admit I have noticed myself that your postings tend to match the comps listed the same day in one or two other 'hubs' ", than the op's post.0 -

And it was because of this reason that I post them on the other site. Someone was copying everything over - I thought I'd save them the hassle :rotfl:
You should have asked why they had such a problem with the comps being posted here - is it just because they would rather the low entry = more chance for them to win? Thanks to all posters :A0 -
Keep posting Linz.. It was probably someone from the "secret Twitter group" who have noticed their wins are going down and needed someone to blame... It's Twitter for goodness sakes.. It's public and open to all!
Loads of times I have shared a Facebook comp and had people share it seconds afterwards... So what? It's a comp... Open to all! That's my rant for the day... Off to stalk some Twitter and Facebook feeds! £2021 in 2021... £253.86/£20210 -
