Tyre gauge and tyre foot pump inflator
Was browsing round ebay and came across these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tire-Tyre-Gauge-Air-Pressure-10-50PSI-Mini-Key-Chain-Blue-ST-/181704277556?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4e6b3e34 and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SINGLE-BARREL-CYLINDER-FOOT-PUMP-AIR-INFLATOR-CAR-VAN-BICYLCE-BIKE-TYRE-/321410373090?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4ad58d15e2 Does this tyre guage give accurate readings or do I need to get a digital one? and the foot pumps any good or electrical ones?

I would not rely on the accuracy of something like that tyre gauge, if you want an accurate one the you need one that is guaranteed calibrated.
As for foot pumps, depends on whether you want something that does the work for you or how good your leg muscles are.:D0 -
I find the little pipe ones work okay, as long as they are in good condition. I've got one in my car.
Foot pumps work okay, the double barrelled ones are quicker but a single barrelled one will work ok, just take longer to pump up. The meter attached to the pump is generally very unreliable, I've never had one that worked.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
There's nothing inherently wrong with cylinder-type gauges. A cheap one may be rubbish, but so might a cheap digital one - you get what you pay for, and you mustn't confuse precision with accuracy!
I'd agree that the gauges built-in to footpumps are usually hopeless.0 -
Get a decent one of each. About £10 for a footpump and £3 to £5 for a stick pressure gauge. Cheap footpumps will fall apart or let more air out than you can pump in after a little time.0

Bit dearer but I've had one of these for years and they're excellent.

Very accurate as well!0 -
Don't bother with a foot pump. If you want the best possible way of inflating a car tyre manually, get a bicycle track pump - the vertical ones.
Far, far, FAR more effective than a foot pump, and quicker than the 12v ciggy-socket buzzy compressors. I've used one to take van tyres to ~50psi.0 -
Where do you get a decent footpump for £10?
There's several on Amazon; take your pick. e.g RAC heavy duty one for £12.44 (OK more than £10 but let's not be picky):

I just meant avoid the £3 ones from eBay like the OP was asking about because they will just fall apart with use. Spend a little more and buy something worthwhile which will be better value overall.0 -
Sack that !!!! off.
I use a digital tyre pump. It was about £18 from B&Q and I've been using it for years. Pumps a tyre up in about 2 minutes. Terrific.0 -
A _digital_ tyre pump...? Now there's some marketing guff if ever I saw it...0
