I am shocked at that, recently have helped someone fight these guys and it was much easier than expected, as long as you follow the templates and advice in the newbie sticker.
One letter sent and we had the old 'as a gesture of goodwill...' letter. No POPLA appeal, just a request for the code.
You wouldn't get a POPLA code from UKCPS as they are now members of the IPC AOS (since 18/11/2014).it was much easier than expected
Go tell that to butchx5
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=94460&st=40Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

the fact that they are IPC was mentioned on post 7 on page 1 of this topic0

There are lots of different companies with very similar names. It's possible it was a different one. Ukcp for example give in if you merely apologise. Very similar name though.0

IPC = do not care
DVLA = do not care
Whilst appealing to either of the above will just get fobbed off individually, it still results in a complaint that needs to be dealt with and skews their statistics further (assuming the ipc even records it). So it drives their costs up a bit (if everyone complained there would be no profit in it) and makes it look worse for the dvla if parliament ask any questions.0 -
however the IPC or the cowshed/gladstones have admitted to telling the members of the IPC that they will discard 80% of all appeals before they are submitted for adjudication.
so only 20 out of 100 appeals will be actually heard , even if the "accused" won every single one , that would be a horrendously low % rate
this is then followed up for payment by there other department , Gladstones solicitor's
bit of a win win for them0 -
Oh dear, once again Freddie has grasped the wrong end of the stick.
so only 20 out of 100 appeals will be actually heard ,
No, 100% will be heard, 80% will be rejectedYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
NO 80% of the total applications for an appeal will be removed from the pile going to the adjudicator , the adjudicators will only see 20% of the letters in the mail bag
the appeals are supposed to be by an independent accessor , however gladstones are removing any that would pass adjudication , and only leaving the weak appeals in the bag
so NO the independent appeals dept , are not seeing 100%of the cases0 -

according to the IPC CoP, are 'punished' unless they win 80% of appeals
fees applicable:
win for motorist £25
win for PPC £15
sorry , do not have there CoP to hand0 -
Is the IPC CoP online anywhere? I can't see it on their website, but I might just be being blind.0
