I've been with Vodafone for 6 years, and the past year just has been horrific, both in terms of service and customer support, my issues are outlined here: forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly-services/Been-with-Vodafone-6-years-this-will-be-my-last/m-p/2373781#M188822
I am desperate to part company with them, so am seeking to lower my tariff with a view to buy my contract out. When I can't reliably make or receive calls, or get 3G coverage in areas previously serviced, they fail to meet my basic needs.
I understand that if my bill states 'YPL' or 'Your plan' I'm not eligible to lower my tariff (although this advice might be out-dated). My plan is quoted on my bill as '4G Y8 24C ST UM UTX 4GB M', does this mean I can lower my tariff?

If the service seriously deteriorated in these areas after you took the contract, demand cancellation without any charges.sjwright1986 wrote: »...When I can't reliably make or receive calls, or get 3G coverage in areas previously serviced, they fail to meet my basic needs.
Follow Voda's formal complaints procedure and take the case to the ombudsman if needed.0

I don't see any grounds for cancellation in his link, OPs complaint seems to be that he doesn't get 3G or 4G where other networks do and Voda coverage in Wales isn't very good.
OP, you can terminate and pay an early termination charge or wait for the end of the minimum term, you have no right to change price plan during the minumum term.====0
