Parking Eye - Ignore it?
Comments

In the nicest way possible, you did the right thing by coming here and not trusting the terrible advice of your Facebook friends.
If you ignore Parking Eye you'll probably end up with a CCJ.What will your verse be?

I should add that all this advice relates to England and Wales only.
If you are in Scotland or NI, then ignoring is the way to go as POFA 2012 does not apply, so there is no keeper liability to worry about - They can only chase the driver and instances of that happening are very rare indeed.0 -
Hi everyone,
I have got my appeal declined with the POPLA form. What would you all say are the next steps?0 -
Can you post up what POPLA said please? It might be important.0
-
Hi, POPLA form is a blank form with boxes to fill in.... do you mean that or the letter that came with the POPLA form?0
-
I'm with you now. I thought POPLA had declined your appeal. There are many winning examples of POPLA appeals on here. Look at some and adapt one to suit.0

there used to be a link in post #3 of the newbie thread .......... that linked to a multitude of previous POPLA appeals ....
sadly that is not there any more .....
I , and I well imagine that the OP would like to know if there is another way to find such appeals

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have finally got round to reading up on the link that Umkomaas sent (Thank you). I copied the template ..
PARKING EYE - OVERSTAY IN A FREE CAR PARK -
I have tweaked it by including bits and deleting bits that I thought wasn't relevant then saved it. Question....
1 - Is it worth showing someone on here what I have done and if so how do I do that?
2 - For point number 2 on the letter, I didn't actually visit a shops so I don't know if the land owner have been getting complaints. So should I delete all of that point out or keep some of it?
3 - For point 3 on the letter, the template example talks of how it was approaching darkness. My instance was in the day time so I can't used that excuses therefore I have had to modify this section.
4 - For point 4, the template example talks about how they overstayed by 12 minutes. My instance was a little over an hour which was time mismanagement by my part though part way through the stay, I moved to another bit of the parking area further down the retail park as there was looooads of spaces free (I mentioned this in section 1 of the letter)
5 - My main gripe is part 1 of the letter so should I leave the letter to just part one or keep the rest in there?
Let me know your thoughts as I am looking to submit the appeal by Monday evening 11th May
Thanks, Billy0 -
Any help anyone?0
