Supermarket Home shopping deliveries waking up household

I am same as you takes me ages to get off to sleep. I use to be a night owl but in recent months I end up going to get around 10 ish. Last night was an exception due to me having to take some medication late at night.Yup, we've done the same with a parcel gone awry. This was past ten pm, when we were just drifting off to sleep. I don't sleep well, and find getting back to sleep a great difficulty, so having your doorbell jolting you awake is really disruptive0

Even just mentioning the colour of their front door fr== will suffice. Just hope they don't have the same colour door as you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Could you go have a word with the other people to maybe put something in the delivery notes box such as 'PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT XYZ ROAD AVENUE AND NOT XYZ ROAD'. If they refuse then I wouldn't answer the door and let their groceries be sent back to the depot.0

There are 2 houses with our door number on our road about 1 mile apart. I always have to put instructions in or they go to the other one even tho it's a different postcode. Same when I order takeaway.
I know how difficult it is for supermarket drivers, I used to do it myself.
Also sometimes they are that busy that they've probably glanced at the sign, just saw the first bit and thought they were on the right street so just looked then for the number of your house. I feel sorry for them really, it wasn't an easy job and not one I'd like to go back too. Especislly when it's chucking it down and thundering and lightening, you feel like a drowned rat, you should have finished 20 minutes ago but still got 4 deliveries left as you got lost trying to find a farm down a pitch black lane with no instructions or sign and no phone reception and then another customer decides to start screaming and shouting at you because they sent raspberry jam instead of strawberry as a substitute. That was the night I started looking for a new job!0 -

Unfortunately not, it seems to be a weekly delivery. I'm still holding out for some high end confectionary in their next order, but knowing my luck will just get loo cleaner and dog biscuits"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510

As above, I'd just accept it and then claim you thought your wife had ordered it. They'll soon stop!0
