Right I have read the guide about failed delivery but not sure if any of it applies to me as I am temp and only work as and when.

Any way what has happened. Was not working this week.

Ordered on-line on sunday evening. Delivery was a 3 day service.

Good dispatched Monday. I guessed they would be delivered wednesday 1st April. And that is what the tracking web page said and the Text I received saying it was out that day.

I had to stay in anyway as waiting for a trades man so no major issue.

Anyway no delivery by the end of day. I checked and there was a POD with NOT DUE written on it.

And the info about being out for that day is no longer on the history.

This morning I rang the retailer and was told they would look in to it. After a couple of hours and no further info I rang the courier company to find out what was going on. They said they had no idea why it had not be delivered. Its 3 parcels but only one was out for delivery today friday 2nd!!! had no more texts or any info on the tracking page. I told the courier company I had things to do today so was going out and not happy that the delivery had been split and it meant I had to wait in twice.

I re-arranged for the delivery on tuesday. I said that I was not sure if I was working or not. But was told if I put a signed letter on my front door it could be left with a neighbour.

I then spoke to the retailer again and explained I have sorted it. And the nice person on customer services said it was not due until today 2nd april anyway and the courier company should not have text me or put it on the van for the 1st April!!!!

The agency I use rang this afternoon with possible work for me Starting tuesday for a couple of weeks. I explained about the delivery. But it had to be a tuesday start.

I am not happy to leave a signed letter stuck to my door. So now I it looks I have possibly lost out on two weeks worth work due to a mess up by the courier company.

And no I am not expecting two weeks worth of wages in compensation :rotfl: would be nice.

I am pretty sure that I can't claim anything. But was wondering if anyone thought it was worth a shot to try and get something back.

Thanks in advance.

Yours

Calley

The depot is at least 40 miles away.

I could have gone 7 miles and got the items delivered in store. But I did not want the hassle of carrying and putting the said items in to the car.

So kinda defeats the object of home delivery!!!!

I wouldn't miss out on 2 weeks work, I'd cancel the order and if the items are desperately needed from there then I would re order them for store pick up. Maybe if you complain to them then they may knock off a discount or something for your inconvenience.
